Blackburn Art House

Space available

If you are interested in taking up accommodation, Blackburn Arthouse offers an excellent range of spaces and facilities.

There is a central mansion house with two pavilions, one to either side. There is also a further range of outbuildings, including a doocot, plus ample parking adjacent.

The main house has accommodation over four floors. The principal public rooms provide spacious elegance and lend themselves perfectly for use as reception or meeting rooms, gallery space, or film location. Elsewhere in the House, the accommodation ranges from large spaces to small - ideally suited to offices, library and archive, conference and training, digital media creation and editing, and much more. The House also benefits from both a central staircase and a lift, and is plentifully equipped with kitchens and toilets.

Each pavilion is constructed over two floors, and each contains a range of rooms, differing between pavilions and, thus, suitable for a wide diversity of uses. Each pavilion also features shower rooms, toilets and kitchens, making them totally flexible and able to host overnight accommodation of visiting clients, staff or guests.

Outwith the main House and pavilions there is also a range of outbuildings that are suitable for use as offices, recording, editing or photographic studios, or other applications. There are also ancillary stores and workshop areas, parking, and an area suitable for the erection of a marquee for special one-off events.

The nature of the House, its pavilions, and its other areas is such that it could be the perfect prestige headquarters for a fairly large company or organisation. However, as Arthouse UK has defined the space specifications and requirements throughout the restoration and renewal programme since its inception, the renovation of the buildings has been conceived in such a way as to make them easily able to be adapted to accommodate a range of smaller organisations and individuals. This flexibility has not come at the expense of security, but has been conceived to ensure that a wide range of enterprises and applications can be accommodated - from single corporate entity to multiple users.

Like its predecessor in Glasgow, if multiple users are to be accommodated within Blackburn Arthouse, the management will operate strict principles to ensure that a vibrant and viable mix of complementary organisations are accepted. The building will succeed as a prestigious office location in its own right, but the achievement of a positive dynamic within the cohort of clients will give substantial extra benefit, as already proven in the Arthouse in Glasgow.
