Blackburn House is a stunning Category A-listed classical country house and pavilions, now approaching the final phase of a total restoration and renewal programme to provide exquisite spaces in which to do business. It will offer contemporary offices, studios, meeting rooms and other facilities. Its future is in providing the following services

Located just off the M8 corridor between Edinburgh and Glasgow, it is ideally situated for both of Scotland's principal cities, is only a few minutes from Edinburgh airport, is close to West Lothian's thriving capital, Livingston - a major centre in its own right - and has direct connections to Glasgow and Glasgow Airport.

Blackburn House comprises a central Palladian manor house, with substantial east and west pavilions. It will shortly emerge from a £4 million total restoration and renewal programme that is seeing it regain its former glory as one of the most important buildings of its kind in the country.

Because of the historic significance of this building, the restoration, led by specialist conservation architects Simpson and Brown, has drawn together a broad coalition of funding partners and historic building specialists to oversee the largest restoration of its kind in the country, resulting in Blackburn House now being close to achieving an impeccable, revitalized state.

Blackburn House has now been acquired by Arthouse UK, which will see it being branded and operated as Blackburn Arthouse. Having previously rescued from derelict one of the most important Art Nouveau buildings in Glasgow, and transformed it to provide the first-ever private sector facility specifically developed to support the creative industries in Glasgow, Arthouse UK is well-versed in the challenge of returning historic buildings back to productive use for specialist sectors.
