Arthouse Glasgow

Arthouse UK’s first venture saw the organisation successfully rescue and transform a derelict Grade A-listed Art Nouveau former bank, designed by James Salmon with stunning sculpture by Albert Hodge.

The vision was to transform it into a private sector centre for the creative and cultural industries. A kaleidoscope of partners, ranging from Scottish Enterprise to Lloyds TSB, and with a host of smaller sponsors and backers, saw the project successfully delivered with less than twelve months.

Arthouse Glasgow now houses a host of creative sector companies - from film and television production, to design, theatre, music, recording, photography, publishing, and much more - and also sees the building’s interiors and exteriors frequently used as screen locations.
