Arthouse GlasgowArthouse UK’s first venture saw the organisation successfully rescue and transform a derelict Grade A-listed Art Nouveau former bank, designed by James Salmon with stunning sculpture by Albert Hodge. The vision was to transform it into a private sector centre for the creative and cultural industries. A kaleidoscope of partners, ranging from Scottish Enterprise to Lloyds TSB, and with a host of smaller sponsors and backers, saw the project successfully delivered with less than twelve months. Arthouse Glasgow now houses a host of creative sector companies - from film and television production, to design, theatre, music, recording, photography, publishing, and much more - and also sees the building’s interiors and exteriors frequently used as screen locations. With some of the country’s most successful and renowned creative talents based there, the dynamic is exciting and frequently serves to generate collaborative partnerships between resident clients.
